Just like Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz, the unknown can be scary.  Planning a wedding can be overwhelming and most brides have no idea where to start.  Do I open up a phone book or do I find a wedding company online?  Will their personality fit with mine.  ”I am more edgy and want someone to understand my unique needs” or “My family is very conservative and I need a company that will be sensitive to that” and every other of the hundreds of concerns that brides think about and try to figure out.

There is good news!!  Bridal shows are a great way to “shop” local companies and see their work in a relaxed setting.  It’s not like you are sitting across the desk from a vendor in a private meeting and starting to feel pressured or uneasy with no way out.  This is a great way to meet and talk with the actual people that will be working with you on your special day.  You can see samples of their work, sample food/cake, see beautiful wedding dresses and win great prizes.  After talking to a company and you like what you see and experience, you can make an appointment – many show exhibitors offer exclusive bridal show specials.  If you don’t like what you see or don’t feel comfortable with that company then you just move on and talk to another company.   What a great way to make a decision based on your needs and not pressure!
