The dream of dreams is almost here … the new line of wedding gowns, shoes, accessories, and all-around gorgeous trinkets from Anthropologie.
The inside scoop is that the line is called BHLDN (like “beholden,” from the Dutch word for “to keep”) … wedding gowns range from $1,000 to $4,000 and they will also offer small, limited-run lines of items, such as 35 pairs of these shoes with hand-dyed silk flowers. SWOON!
Cutest engagement, captured on photobooth film … and one of my favorite illustrator/artists, Angela Kohler
From Angela: “I have no idea in frames one and two and am really confused in frame three (lets never make that face again!) and really surprised in frame four.”
Beautiful, simple idea of the day:Personalized decor that your guests will all stop to admire. String twine or ribbon between pillars or trees, then clothespin postcards from your favorite vacations or classic family photos or pictures of you as a couple.
Beautiful, simple idea of the day: Button boutonnieres!
All you need for this sweet DIY project for your groom and his men is some floral wire, a large safety pins, and different sizes of buttons in your color scheme. I love the flower-shaped buttons they used here, too!

Beautiful, simple idea of the day: Purchase the letters of your names (try Anthropologie) or use the "&" symbol like Laura and Bobby (via 100LayerCake), tie with pretty ribbon or twine, and string between your chairs at the Sweetheart Table.
Beautiful, simple idea of the day: Scour flea markets and antique stores. Purchase an old typewriter. On your computer, type up your reception seating chart in an old typewriter-style font and print on a vintage-looking sheet of paper. Lay the seating chart on the typewriter. Lay a simple stem of a flower across the typewriter if you like!
Beautiful, simple idea of the day: This swing is a lovely and easy DIY wedding project! Just a little rope, a sanded plank, a power drill, a garland or two of silk flowers, and the perfect tree branch ...
To accompany yesterday's signature cocktail post: another pretty wedding drink idea. Freeze raspberries, mint leaves, or an edible flower like pansies or rose petals inside ice cubes! Simple, beautiful idea of the (Fri)day.
Simple, beautiful idea of the day, courtesy of Allison & Mark's lovely wedding at Atwood Ranch in California. This is still and will always be one of my favorite real weddings of all time for many reasons: the sunny colors, the beautiful outdoor venue, the cute buttons the couple had made, the pastel parasols, the bride's incredible Amsale gown, the bicycles the couple rode in on ... OK, I'll just tell you about the bench!
For a simple but memorable DIY idea, purchase a rustic-looking wooden bench (think eBay, an antique store, a home improvement store, or do an online search) and personalize it with wooden letters (find them at a craft store). You might even add a colorful touch with satin ribbons. You or your guests can pose for pictures on it and later, you can keep the bench as a memento of your wedding day.
