Simple, beautiful idea of the day, courtesy of Allison & Mark's lovely wedding at Atwood Ranch in California. This is still and will always be one of my favorite real weddings of all time for many reasons: the sunny colors, the beautiful outdoor venue, the cute buttons the couple had made, the pastel parasols, the bride's incredible Amsale gown, the bicycles the couple rode in on ... OK, I'll just tell you about the bench!

 

For a simple but memorable DIY idea, purchase a rustic-looking wooden bench (think eBay, an antique store, a home improvement store, or do an online search) and personalize it with wooden letters (find them at a craft store). You might even add a colorful touch with satin ribbons. You or your guests can pose for pictures on it and later, you can keep the bench as a memento of your wedding day.
